Marissa Dennis

Founder of Onyx Beauty Lab and MAIA
Marissa brought the Onyx Beauty Lab vision to life to help her community gain knowledge, understanding, and trust in medical aesthetics services. Marissa’s discerning eye for the art and innovation of aesthetics and her extensive knowledge and experience in nursing care make her an exceptionally talented, educated, and skillful practitioner. Marissa holds the esteemed role of Senior Aesthetic Clinical Educator for Clarion Medical Technologies, supporting British Columbia and Western Canada. She founded the MAIA training program for beginner and advanced injectors and is active on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Society of Aesthetic Specialty Nurses.
Tanya Lunder
Director of Operations
Tanya’s experience in the skincare industry began in a world-renowned Aesthetics College in Vancouver, later moving into the Medi-Spa industry and working for one of the top cosmetic dermatologists in Canada. Tanya further expanded her education, taking courses on Lash Extensions, Lash Lift & Tint, Microblading, Plasma Skin Tightening and Professional Teeth Whitening. She was nominated for various awards in the industry and quickly went on to open her own beauty business where she had the distinct pleasure of training and inspiring hundreds of women and men in beauty care. After relocating to Kelowna, Tanya really felt the need to be back in the Medi-Spa field and joined the amazing team at Onyx Beauty Lab. She enjoys the diverse advancements in skincare and helping people feel good about themselves, both inside and out.
Maggie Johnman
RN, BScN
Registered Nurse and Aesthetic Injector
Maggie joins the Onyx medical aesthetics team with extensive Acute care and nursing experience. Since 2008, Maggie has worked in various medical and surgical units and is still today a Registered Nurse at Kelowna General Hospital’s Emergency Department. Maggie’s specializations include Emergency Nursing (BCIT), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). She also has advanced learning techniques gained from the Foundational Neuromodulators course provided by MAIA. Maggie’s approach to medical aesthetics is patient-first, alongside attention to detail and meticulous care.
Kandis Quinn
Administration
Kandis is very passionate about healthy, glowing skin and believes in the power of holistic care. With over 10 years experience in office administration and now well versed in skin care products that Onyx carries, she is happy to help you reach your skin care goals and guide you on starting a treatment plan. Our newest team member, Kandis is excited to be venturing into medical aesthetics and be a part of the team at Onyx.
